Our Mission

The Palos Verdes Water Polo Club (PVWPC) is a year-round aquatics organization that provides continual water polo training and competition opportunities to a variety of different age groups and skill levels.  The co-ed Palos Verdes Water Polo Club is designed to increase the playing, practicing, and growth opportunities for water polo athletes in the South Bay area by providing ample training and competition opportunities along with local coaching and athlete development and education.    Through training and competition, coaches and athletes learn valuable life lessons through sports, such as goal setting, team work, dedication, discipline, and the value of community involvement.  The Club has primarily a Youth Program (athletes in high school) a Developmental Program (8th Grade and younger) and a Pee Wee program for those in elementary school.

Our Workouts

The workouts teach participating youth water polo techniques that can be used in high school and college.  Players learn basic passing and shooting, as well as different styles of defense and offense. Workouts are structured to progress on a skill path where more complex skills can easily be added to a foundation of knowledge as the child ages.

Our Values

Palos Verdes Water Polo Club offers an experience that reaches far beyond a physical fitness program.  We strive to build self-esteem, character, teamwork, and a strong work ethic, and we encourage the players to apply these values to all aspects of their lives.

A Successful Blend

A Blend of World-class coaches, from the Palos Verdes Community and strategies with the local high school programs with tremendous parent involvement, and fun-loving, hard-working Palos Verdes Water Polo Club players combine to create one of the greatest experiences a South Bay area youth athlete could seek.

The History of Our Organization

Palos Verdes Water Polo was originally established in 2000 as an independent club. In 2002, PVWPC merged with Harvard Water Polo Foundation to become Los Angeles Water Polo Club.  With the availability of excellent coaches and the demand to serve our local community, we are pleased to announce the re-formation of Palos Verdes Water Polo. We decided to maintain the name of Palos Verdes Water Polo Club yet our intention is be a Club for all of the South Bay area and its youth. Please join us.
